Dream Theme: Old Hollywood

When it comes to weddings, old hollywood is (and always will be) the new hollywood. This classic theme never goes out of style when the glitz, glamour, and fabulous flair with a dash of ridiculous are all rolled into one explosive production. But the thing about planning themed weddings is this: you can’t miss a single detail! Every element–from your makeup, reception, invites–needs to be cohesive with the theme. So here’s a checklist to make sure you don’t miss a thing:

First things first–let’s begin with the invite. Invite your guests to watch and listen to your love story and be part of your happy ending with these tickets to the cinema!

If you’re planning to send e-vites through a Facebook event page to get faster RSVP responses, why not make your own movie poster and make it your cover photo? You could use the photos from your old hollywood glam-themed prenup shoot for more mileage for your shoot 😉

Nothing says ‘the show has begun’ like making an entrance in a vintage automobile.

While you are a vision in white, your entourage could dazzle in gold dresses with the signature old hollywood low-back.

And now, for the dress. Filipino designer Catherine Cavilte‘s latest collection consist of pieces that echo the 1920s: FRINGE and FUR.

As for the reception elements, the color palette includes black, white, and gold–matched with really dim lights paired with a surprise of brightness and blue. Of course, do not hold back on the décor: feathers, pearls, and jewels.

Planning an afterparty? Don’t forget the champagne tower that’s actually a close substitute to a cake. You could also change into a short flapper dress to get ready for some dancing!

For exciting souvenir ideas, why not give away cigars and chocolates? Now isn’t that just a perfect pair?
