A 46-year-old tradition of excellence
Weddings at The Peninsula and More will take place on September 3 and 4, Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. A highlight of Weddings at The Peninsula and More will be the first-ever Manila Fashion Festival Bridal Collection on September 3.
This year marks its 46th year, partnering with industry leaders Rita Neri Event Planners (RNEP) and Manila Fashion Festival (MFF), alongside other game changers in the Philippine wedding and events industry—from bridal finery to tabletop decorations, delicious cakes and blooming bouquets to honeymoon and holiday destinations, and many more.
Weddings at The Peninsula and More is a much-awaited event that celebrates the Filipino’s love of celebrations. After two years of the pandemic, the 2022 edition will bring together participants who offer a varied array of services and merchandise while introducing elements that signals the event’s emergence into a new normal.
It will begin at The Lobby that will be garlanded with masses of flowers, created by floral artist Zenas Pineda, the colorful blooms will be a sight to behold. The Upper Lobby will be transformed into a pop-up space offering a showcase of jewelry from Mel Diamonds, bespoke shoe wear from Jimmy Choo and Shoepatos, lifestyle selections from West Elm, makeup artists from Bobbi Brown, Estee Lauder and Jo Malone, holiday and honeymoon destinations from the Peninsula Hotels in Asia, the US and Europe to those in Punta Fuego, Tagaytay and El
Nido, tablescapes by Beng Villanueva and Teddy Manuel, and the bridal collections by the designers of
the Manila Fashion Festival.
The Conservatory will feature a carefully selected gathering of the country’s most exclusive wedding and party suppliers and stylists like Jo Claravall, Jason Magbanua, Dave Sandoval, RJ Ledesma, Cake Concept, and dozens more whose vetted services and seasoned advice are an invaluable resource when planning one of the most important moments in a couple’s life.
Highlighting the main attraction, which is the wedding day, this will be the first-ever Manila Fashion Festival Bridal Collection at The Lobby, a fashion parade of stunning bridal wear by acclaimed Filipino designers Banggo Niu, Steph Tan, Jun Escario, and Vin Orias. The shows will combine the passion of these four designers, the intimacy of a boutique show, and the beauty of bridal fashion in a series of mini collection shows set against the backdrop of The
Lobby’s iconic “Sunburst” sculpture by National Artist Napoleon “Billy” Abueva.

“A wedding is an important life event. It is a time when fashion can add valuable moments to a couple and as the organizer of Manila Fashion Festival, we look forward to partnering with The Peninsula Manila as we share the many talents of our Filipino designers with their guests and celebrate a time when fashion and weddings go together,” adds MFF organizer Genshi Shigekawa.
“While it’s true that weddings, birthdays, christenings, etc. take place every day, we believe that every single one should feel like a once-in-a-lifetime experience so there is no such thing as too perfect—not when you are planning what is most likely the most memorable day of your life,” says RNEP president Rita Neri in closing. “Our partnership with The Peninsula goes back many years because we both believe in the promise to make our clients’ big day unforgettable.”
